Using Horse Wormer For Dogs

Doesn't this sound crazy?  There are plenty of people doing it to save money on worming their own dogs.

Using horse wormer for dogs is something people have been doing since Ivermectin started coming in a paste for horses.  Now there is a new kind of wormer out there that is FDA approved for treating tapeworms along with everything Ivermectin previously took care of. (Ivermectin DOES NOT get rid of tapeworms)

This site has some good information on using it for horses and shows you were people are talking about using as a dog wormer in online forums.  Zimecterin Gold as a Dog Wormer

You can draw your own conclusions on whether or not this is the right medication to worm your dogs with or not.

Worming Your Dogs

Worming your dogs is one of the best things you can do for their overall health.  If you own a dog and have never wormed it, THEY HAVE WORMS of some kind.  You had better start researching what method of dog wormer you are going to use and get busy worming them.

Dogs pick up worms from lots of places.  Fleas are the biggest carriers of tapeworms, it's a viscous cycle when your dog has fleas because not only do they carry the tapeworm they make your dog itch and lick in places that tapeworms have laid eggs on the dogs behind.  YUCK!

Roundworms eat up the dog's nutrients starving him even though you feed him good.  There is no sense in buying an expensive dog food if you don't worm your dogs because the worms will be the ones benefiting from it, not the dog.

Here is a good place to start your research on the different kinds of dog wormer available.  Amazon carries just about every brand that you can think of.
